Neotechnology now a member of the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Neotechnology Business Systems are now a member of the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI). NBS joined the TCCI to take advantage of the many benefits offered and to become more involved with the business community in the State.
One of the first events attended after becoming a member was the Small Business Expo held at Wrest Point Casino from 12 – 13 November. The Expo had some great speakers during luncheons, breakfasts and evening networking events as well as over the course of the two days. A range of exhibition stands also offered many services for small businesses.
The TCCI is an independent membership organisation which seeks to positively lead the Tasmanian business community by ensuring the best interests of all their members are represented at a Regional, State, National and even International level. They offer a comprehensive range of services and products which are designed to invigorate your business.
Whether it be improving employment processes and practices through Business Compliance, attendance at a training course or participation in a networking breakfast, these benefits and more are offered to members of the TCCI.

Check out the Mo – progress so far!!
The team is hard at it...not shaving and busily styling their Mos!
The group shot doesn’t show much but as you can see from our Mo-tage there is a wide variety of styles appearing!
So far $505 has been raised. The Neotechnology team was aiming for to raise a minimum of $500 for this worthwhile cause. We are very pleased to have passed this amount already. Please donate to support our team point of sale software specialists.

NBS has formed a team for Movember this year...our team is named ‘Neotech-Mo-ology’ a befitting name for a bunch of POS software developers!
For anyone who hasn’t heard about Movember it is a fundraising event to raise awareness of men’s health issues and raise money for prostate cancer research. The campaign encourages people to grow moustaches over the month of November and collect sponsorship for doing so.

Neotechnology Business Systems has always taken on board customer and partner feedback in order to enhance our flagship point of sale and business management software, Amicus POS. Now this has been made even easier with the ability for customers and partners to voice their opinions online.

Second round of Amicus POS group training held this week!

Following on from our very successful group training session for Amicus Authorised Partners in September, the October session started today. Minor changes have been made to the training program after taking on board feedback from the last session.
The training teaches partners how to install and set-up Amicus POS for end users, including all components such as setting up the server, integrating peripherals, customising the touch screen interface and setting up user groups.
Many partners already have an understanding of server, hardware and POS concepts however this training will ensure partners are confident in installing, supporting and training end users in Amicus point of sale and business management system. This includes all the different modules such as restaurant and cafe (hospitality), supermarkets and general retail, and fuel.

Neotechnology supports Tasmanian University software development students!

Neotechnology Business Systems supports The University of Tasmania by working with students to assist them gain ‘real world’ software development experience.
A computing and information system unit requires students to work on a team project to develop a software application. Businesses submit projects, by submitting a project spec, and then students choose projects which they are intersted in. Neotechnology worked with a team called NBSTEST to assist them in developing a testing management system. To see all the details follow the link to their website: NBSTEST website

There are now demo videos available for Amicus point of sale software. There are 5 short videos available showing you how to:
The point of sale software demos show you how easy the Amicus POS system is to use and lets you view the intuitive user interface. The touch screen sales interface is customisable so demo versions of the software may look different to the ones shown in the videos.
The Amicus POS demo videos show some basic point of sale software features and do not cover the fuel outlet module, the restaurant module, the cafe module or all retail features available.
